It's Nice to Be Loved

The other day I was in a good mood after eating a particularly nice lunch at uni. Normally, lunches purchased a uni aren't actually very good but this one was special. I had a salad and berry-yoghurt crunch. It was delicious. Being in a good mood, I thought I would let the nice people at Griffith Food know lest they stop making either the salads or the yoghurt things. I also took the chance to point out that the yoghurt things were very hard to get into as the plastic seal needs to be pierced with something sharp.

Today I received a reply. It made me feel good.

Amanda,

Thank you so much for taking the time in your busy schedule to provide us with this very constructive feedback. Yes we checked the problem with the Berry Crunch at it is extremely difficult to open. We have taken your great suggestion on board and we are currently sourcing a spoon with a serrated handle, similar as to what they supply when you purchase kiwi fruit.

The salads do require a product specification labels so that the customers are aware of what is in these products and we will have these labels produced.

Amanda your positive comments are like a breath of fresh air and I thank you for passing these on to us, I guess like most people we are all guilty on not praising people enough when praise is due, I will pass your feedback on to the team, I know that they will certainly get a boost from your very motivating words of compliment.

Thank you again and please do not hesitate to provide us with any feedback, so we can continue to grow and implement changes to best meet our customer needs and expectations.

Kind regards,

Procrastinating

I'm supposed to be doing some uni work, specifically putting some things up on my research blog, but seeing as how I had to log onto blogger I thought I'd update here.

I had my inaugural golf lesson yesterday. It was good. The instructor started right from the start and now it all makes sense. I know what I'm doing wrong (wrong body angle and I don't mantain it through the swing) so now I can start working on not doing them! The new clubs are nice, much better to hit with than anything else I've tried.

My cat Shelley has been sick lately and after some research I determined that she probably has a thyriod condition. We took her to the vet last night but the prognosis doesn't look good. Nevertheless, we're trying some medication to see if she improves. However, if she doesn't then unfortunately, the best thing to do would be to put her down. I'm sad but it's to be expected really. She's an old cat and had been sick for a while. Of course saying that doens't make it any easier. I think it's harder because I don't really she her symptoms. Whenever I'm there she's generally sitting quite happily on my lap.

Anyway...back to work!

An Update

Okay, I've been slack again. I can't help it though. We've just had two long weekends in a row, it's like I'm on extended holidays.

Since the last post, things have just been getting busier and busier for Tom and I. Tomas is in the final stages of writing his thesis whereas I'm at the beginning stages of writing mine. If you would like to see what I'm up to at uni (I'm reknown for not talking about what I'm doing at uni - even Tom doesn't really know) check out my research blog.

With regards to golf (our current focus seeing as how we're not buying a car or a house) there have been exciting developments. Firstly, Tom asked for a new set of fairway woods for his birthday which I was happy to get him. So we went to the golf store and walked out with a whole new set of clubs. It was a really good deal and Tom's set is ancient and needed replacing. The golf shop was having a sale to get rid of the old stock. It only cost $399 for the set which is only 100 more than Tom's upper limit on the woods plus the salesman was very good and it's so much better buying off a good salesman.

Secondly, I'm getting a set of golf clubs too! My set (from the same place) will be $299 and are red. The reason why I'm getting golf clubs is because I'm starting golf lessons tomorrow (Thursday) and it will be better for me to start with the clubs I'm going to be playing with.

Other news, went bowling on the weekend and I scored 91! Only nine away from breaking 100. Tom did very well too. We also went to see Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy on Friday night. I was funny. I want the next movie to come out now though.
