Word of the day: penultimate
I think penultimate is very nice word. So much so that it deserves status of word of the day. The reason why I even thought of it is because it is Tomas' penultimate day at work today. Today is my ultimate. There is festivities and frivolities happening this afternoon.
Getting excited now. Not just about the wedding but also the honeymoon. I've just booked us on a sunrise penguin walk. Yay penguins (c:
We're seeing the photographer tonight and I will be paying the florist this afternoon.
In other news - I was deliriously happy last night. Those who know me well, know I love grocery shopping and finally after almost three years of planning - my shopping centre opened yesterday. I say my shopping centre, it's really Newmarket's shopping centre. We went there last night to buy milk. The girl at the checkout joked that coming shopping might have been the highlight of our day, and I think she was right.
Evil, evil, chocolate bullets
9 more sleeps!
11 days to go!
It's a bit worrying but its only 11 days until Tomas and I get married. I'm not worried about actually marrying Tom, that bit is the good bit. It's all the little things that still need to be organised and paid for.
If you haven't yet bought us a present (ahem Ben), the four things at the top of our blog are at the top for a reason (hint, hint). If you're still stuck I'd like some some nice editions of some classic literature. Alternatively, if you would like to buy us something of the toaster ilk, then I won't say no to some Jamie Oliver Tefal cookware. Enough fishing for presents.
Apart from the wedding, the other thing to be taking up the majority of the time is exercise. Vanessa and I have been bootcamping for five weeks now. I have actually been enjoying it. This morning I shocked myself and got up early and went for a run. A real jog with no walking and it included stairs.
Personalise your Google.
I noticed today that Google is finally allowing us Australian plebs to 'personalise' Google.com.au. The link has probably been there for days.
So this afternoon I customised Google to show me ABC news, ABC sports, and The Chaser. This coupled with the Gardening Australia feed that was already on the page gives my Google home page a distinct theme. It would be cool if you could see what other people had on their pages.
In other news, Ben has started working at WMS. Its a bit strange having him there but at least he has a sense of humour - unlike his predecessor.
