For the Benefit of Mr Kite

On the weekend, I decided that 2009 will be my year of activity. The year where I will do more exercise (intentional and incidental) and less sitting around. Ideally I'm aiming for at least 30 minutes a day of something.

So after a full weekend, I kicked things off yesterday. I decided I would run/walk my way to work. Whilst I can't claim that I ran all the way, I ran a lot of the way. Somewhere around 2 thirds I think. It was a bit of a shock to the system as I'm not really a runner but it felt good.

This morning was my regular training session and although my muscles were a little fatigued I didn't feel too bad. There were only two of us there so things were a little more intense than they normally are and now I am le tired. I am acutely aware of quite a few muscles in my body and my legs are no long capable of propelling me upstairs.

I will be sore tomorrow so I'm thinking a 30 minute swim or a walk in the morning will be all I'm up for.

My birthday is almost here! Yay. Tomas was talking about birthday presents last night and I got a little excited and then I thought I never made a list of Christmas presents and I realised that there wasn't too much I wanted for Christmas and then I realised that I was happy with what I got and then I thought of some stuff that I want. *deep breath*

So here's the list in case you haven't got me anything:

• pedometer (one that measures distance as well as steps would be cool)
• rebel sport gift voucher (need some new gym clothes and I'd like to get a kick board for swimming)
• sewing lessons (still can't figure out things like press studs)
  
• golf lessons (I would love to be able to play golf with tomas)

I thought of one more last night:

• Mini tripod for our camera
  

Sorry, our place has been up on realestate.com.au for about a week now, those of you that haven't seen it yet, here it is.

We've got an open house organised for this weekend which is a little bit exciting but stressful too as we have to clean the house for it. The agent says she has some interested buyers coming through on the weekend and that she's been getting lots of enquiries through the internet. Hopefully these interested buyers will want to pay top dollar.
